Stroke Support Groups

Healings in Motion Supports Local Stroke Support Groups

Join a Support group to increase your contacts with other survivors. Share information. Cry. Laugh. Complain. Usually everyone gets a chance to share what is happening and over time began to know familiar faces and names. Friendships are established and many people are there to adjust to starting life over or to validate feelings. Local hospitals in your area may host a Support Group. Ask the Rehab Department or the Social Worker at the hospital. Many hospitals have Support Groups posted on their website. People attending different Stroke or TBI Support Groups unite at the Central Valley Recovery, Awareness, Preventing Strokes Program (CV-RAPS) to hear experts and enjoy a healthy lunch and learn.
